För patienten kan det då vara viktigt att veta vilket skydd patienten har vid eventuell skada till följd av läkemedlet.

Vissa av läkemedelsbolagen är anslutna till den sk Läkemedelsförsäkringen, andra är det inte. Att vända sig till Läkemedelsförsäkringen är ett för patienten enkelt och kostnadsfritt sätt att få sin skada reglerad.

EQL Pharma är anslutet till Läkemedelsförsäkringen vilket alltså kraftigt underlättar för patienter att få ersättning för eventuell skada som uppkommer till följd av oväntade svåra biverkningar.

Andra läkemedelsbolag är inte anslutna till Läkemedelsförsäkringen. Lite förenklat kan man säga att patienten i så fall måste inleda och slutföra en stämning i domstol för att få ut ersättning för skada till följd av konsumtion av dessa bolags läkemedel.

Flera stora läkemedelsbolag har valt att inte vara med i Läkemedelsförsäkringen.

EQL Pharma som specialiserar sig på receptbelagda generika och speciality pharma
för den Nordiska marknaden, har genomfört en riktad nyemission på 3,5 MSEK.
Emissionslikviden ska bland annat användas för fortsatta investeringar i
produktportföljen.

”Under 2009 har vi framgångsrikt satt de första två produkterna på marknaden och
ser fram emot en fortsatt expansion under året. Emissionslikviden kommer användas
för att utvidga omfånget på vårt utbud till den Nordiska marknaden ”, säger EQL:s VD
Christer Fåhraeus.

Genom nyemissionen ökar antalet aktier i EQL Pharma med 350 aktier till
sammanlagt 1.350 stycken.

Aktiekapitalet ökar från 100.000 kronor till 135.000 kronor.

Bland de nya aktieägarna återfinns bland andra riskkapitalbolaget Augmenta AB,
Johan Kördel och Ingemar Kihlström.

Venlafaxine is approved for treatment of clinical depression and anxiety disorder. Venlafaxine EQL Pharma is available in two dosage forms: 75 and 150 mg depot capsules.
