Branded

Products within this segment include Mellozzan® (melatonin, indicated for sleep disorders in children with ADHD) and Memprex® (methenamine hippurate, indicated for the prophylactic treatment of recurrent urinary tract infections). These products are prescribed directly by healthcare professionals, primarily physicians, but also by certain categories of nurses and dentists, depending on local regulations. Unlike traditional generics, Mellozzan and Memprex are marketed under distinctive brands and are actively promoted by EQL or its appointed partners. Products in this segment typically possess unique characteristics that differentiate them from comparable alternatives, making substitution systems or public procurement processes either unsuitable or unavailable.

Global Commercial Reach

Mellozzan and Memprex are marketed in numerous countries, either under their own brand names or through local branding by commercial partners.

EQL’s partner Medice has launched Mellozzan in markets including the United Kingdom, Denmark, Switzerland and Germany. In Turkey, Mellozzan is marketed by Abdi İbrahim, while in the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) countries it is distributed by Pharmalink. EQL has also entered into a global licensing agreement with Adalvo, covering approximately one hundred countries for Mellozzan.

For Memprex, Goodlife Specialty BV holds the commercial rights in the Benelux countries, while in France the product is marketed by Laboratoires Majorelle under the brand name Altaromin®.

For EQL, the Branded segment offers a more stable and predictable source of revenue and profitability once a product brand has become established and has found its target audience among prescribers and patients. At the same time, resources and investments are required to support partners and promote the products to healthcare professionals and other relevant stakeholders.
